Job Description

Job Summary

Reporting to the Manager, LNG & NGT Planning and Logistics this position is responsible to analyze and develop coordination of LNG deliveries, billing data compilation and trailer maintenance scheduling activities within the NGT & Regional LNG team’s market development activities and service offerings, with a particular focus on Natural Gas for Transportation Vehicle (NGT) applications for both CNG and LNG.

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

Provides logistical support for the company’s LNG deliveries, ensuring that all related operations are on track; these operations may include coordinating the shipment and delivery of goods and keeping track of inventory.

 

Utilize logistics information systems to gather and analyze information with respect to service metrics in accordance with Company standards and to develop processes and procedures where necessary. In concert with the Logistics Manager, develop and maintain database management for driver / equipment / maintenance / billing information including preparing reports and distribution to Managers.

 

Analyze customer needs opposite service objectives and provide logistics support and execution of systems to the LNG & NGT Logistics and Planning Department, including management of theSharePoint site, sending daily scale tickets to customer, load /KPI tracking, and data migration.

 

Responsible for creating and keeping logs, reports and overseeing the various steps of their creation.  Analyze and manage Billing and Accounts Payable data and processes involved in the timely preparation of data to feed billing processes for NGT and LNG. Review accounts and billing information for consistency and accuracy.

 

Provide support in the management of vehicle incentive application programs including tracking of awards opposite budget, and payment of awards to applicants.

 

Provide support and analysis for development of regulatory filings such as CPCN’s including gathering customer input from stakeholder meetings and dissemination of project information to stakeholders.

 

Maintain fleet fuel purchasing program, including management of fueling cars disseminated to operators.

 

Support the Transportation Sales Managers, the Logistics Manager and the Manager, LNG & NGT Planning and Logistics with project assignments as required, including annual vacation coverage and on call coverage for Logistics Manager.


Education and Experience: 

Completion of Bachelor’s Degree, Transportation Logistics Certification or PLog Certification an asset plus 1 to 3 years of business experience, with preference of 2 years directly related experience.


Technical Competencies:

 

Knowledge of gas and electric operations and FortisBC standards

Demonstrated ability in analysing performance data against KPI’s

Demonstrated ability to exercise judgment, tact and discretion in preparing, disclosing and handling information of a confidential and/or sensitive nature

Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing 

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sharepoint, Live Meeting) as well as other software in use in the department such as AdobeAcrobat 9 Pro, SAP, GIS, FileNet and AM/FM.

Demonstrated ability to prioritize and complete assignments within demanding work schedules

Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Demonstrated ability to investigate and resolve problems

Demonstrated customer service and interpersonal skills

Knowledge of energy utility operations, specifically related to business development, project management and associated functions.
