Job Description

There are multiple 12 month contract positions, with the potential to progress into permanent opportunities in the future.
The work location is flexible across Canada.

We are passionate about continuous improvement and operate with high-integrity, motivated by our desire to do the right thing for our clients. The Inside Property Claims Representative is responsible for the investigation, negotiation, and settlement of property, farm and commercial claims.

 

What you’re responsible for:

  • Investigate, interpret coverage, reserve adequately, negotiate, and settle property, farm and commercial claims.

  • Contribute to a client service culture by embedding client engagement philosophies into daily work and implementing innovative, client-centric decision making, to be THE industry leader in client engagement.

  • Provide quality client service in accordance with claims service standards.

  • Review of damage of estimates.

  • Work with clients, vendors and government officials on ensuring efficiency, timeliness and quality of the settlement of the loss.

  • Set up and maintain files for assigned claims.

  • Authorize payments and reserves up to $75,000 authority.

     

What to expect:

  • This role operates in a call centre environment where a high level of audio and visual concentration is required for extended periods of time. 

  • Potential exposure to conditions that require health and safety protection, such as chemicals, noise, dust and debris. 

  • This role involves direct contact with clients and/or service providers in their environment. 

  • Extended work hours, including evenings and weekends, will be required during peak periods and major events. 

  • You will be subject to a Criminal Record and Consumer History background check as a condition of employment, in the event you are the successful candidate.

To join our team:

  • One (1) year insurance experience or two (2) years related business experience.

  • Working towards Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) courses.

  • Provincial adjuster license(s) will be required or working towards.

  • Provincial adjuster license(s) maybe required dependent on the province of work.

  • University/College Degree.
